360 Degree Leadership by John C. Maxwell
Summary of my takeaways from John C. Maxwell. He has great, easy to remember bite-sized pieces of wisdom. They make sense. One could even say "Oh, I knew that" or "That just makes sense." However, to hold them all in one's head and apply them creates a grand platform from which to move ahead.
Why think about leadership? Because we are all leaders in our sphere of influence. Do well. Others count on me.
I think about leadership because it is a learned skill. For me, having it broken down into small pieces allows me to visualize the process of leading others by leading oneself first.

- Know where I am -- then I am able to get to where I want to go.
- Be a Can-Do Person. Get wins under my belt -- especially at the beginning to keep going after what works.
- Lead myself -- there is no exponential development without hard examination/conversation of myself.
- There will be a process to go through to get ready to lead to give what I possess.
- Know when to push myself and when to back off -- jump in and start by acting on the fundamentals I've already learned.
- Leaders I help develop will help me accomplish more and lighten my leader load
- Be in my strength zone for motivation (being in the weak zone gets me demoralized).
- Be better tomorrow than today.
